Walk away with IT Policies and Procedures for your Organization!
New Workshop from Simplex-IT
Security is a huge issue. Between Ransomware, Phishing attacks and good old fashioned malware, the bad guys are coming up with more and more creative ways to “do their thing.” Whether their goal is disruption, extortion or data theft, successful breaches are bad news. Hiding behind the old “we’re too small to be worth hacking” just isn’t a legitimate form of defense (Miss last months seminar? Watch it by clicking here).
So you go ahead and purchase and configure firewalls, endpoints, and add multi-factor authentication processes. You’ve still got the most vulnerable facet of your organization.
Annoying, pesky humans.
Part of the challenge is that organizations aren’t consistently defining (and informing) their employees what they’re supposed to do. Can they work from home using their own system? Can they install software on their work devices? What’s supposed to happen to data and accounts when an employee leaves?
Yup, we’re talking Policies and Procedures. It’s tough to find useful resource that are really aimed at the Small to Medium organizations.
We’ve put together a new kind of workshop. To the best of our knowledge, we’re the first Managed Service Provider *anywhere* to try to do this.
During this 4 hour workshop we’ll be working with participants to develop Policies and Procedures specifically for their organization for issues like:
- Employee Termination
- Security Incident Response
- Computer Use
- Equipment Disposal
- BYOD (Bring Your Own Device)
We’ll review each of the topics specific to your organization, and give guidance. At the end of the event you’ll have enough information to form a boiler plate of specifics that you’ll be able to add to your existing Policy and Procedures (you’ll actually develop the boiler plate during the process).
We’re going to do a dry run this month, limiting it to 8 organizations. This is going to be open first to our existing Gold and Platinum customers. We’ll then open it up to others (if there’s still room).
The cost? Well, it’s free, kinda. As we mentioned, this is a first time both for us and we think the industry. We’re going to ask for your feedback, good and bad. And we’ll be using the results for some marketing purposes as well. So we will ask for a lot of feedback as to how things go (more than usual).
Our goal is to repeat this in July, where we’ll open it to all comers. And in July we hope to allow more than 8 (depending on how things go this time). The price for participating in July will be a $150 donation to Blast Glioblastoma, which raises funds for brain tumor research.
When: Wednesday, May 17th 9am-1pm (includes lunch)
Where: Simplex-IT, 4301 Darrow Rd, Stow, OH 44224
Cost: Free (but you'll be asked for feedback)
