Geek Raffle 2017 Recap

December 14th, 2017

Hey everyone, Patti here. Just wanted to take a few minutes and recap our annual Geek Raffle for those of you who weren't able to attend. And for those that were able to attend, so you could re-live it all over again!

The Malted Meeple hosted our raffle again this year. These folks are the best, and this place is the best. Not only did they open their doors and staff our event, they also donated soft drinks to the crowd. Thanks again Malted Meeple, your milkshakes are pure perfection!

Lauri Molnar from Hattie Larlham spoke to our group about the organization and the vocational programs available to people within their system, including the Doggie Day Care right in Stow. Thanks Lauri, we appreciate your time at our event and thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.

Bob kicked off the raffle portion of the raffle with his usual sense of humor as he described each item while drawing winners. I think the Dr. Who tree topper was a fan favorite, as well as the Star Trek throw blanket with Bob Cooties on it. We all had some great laughs, and a lot of people won some awesome prizes.

The goal of the Geek Raffle is to raise money for Hattie Larlham, and we sure did. We raised over $300 from raffle ticket sales. Simplex-IT is going to kick in $500 and donate over $800 to Hattie Larlham!

We are looking forward to next year's Geek Raffle already! Hope you enjoy looking through some pictures from yesterday!
